Dr. Bethany DeHaven
Dr. Bethany DeHaven (she/her) earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from Regent University. She provides therapy and psychodiagnostic evaluations primarily for individuals aged 6 years and older. Dr. DeHaven also offers couples and family therapy appointments.
Approach to Therapy
Dr. DeHaven focuses on being a general clinician – ready for any client who walks in the door. She utilizes evidence-based practices, takes a social justice approach to her work, and centralizes authentic connection with her clients. Within her flexible abilities, she has sub-specialties in healing trauma across the lifespan, Disability Affirmative Therapy, spiritually integrative therapy, and addressing health issues in therapy. She has ample experience with a broad range of mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex trauma (including racial trauma). One of Dr. DeHaven’s passions is working with neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan, especially adults diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood. Dr. DeHaven enjoys therapy at any age and has considerable experience with families navigating foster/adoption.
Dr. DeHaven’s approach aims to help her clients make sense of their past, stay in contact with the present moment, and take steps towards the future they desire. She centralizes cultural humility in her work and seeks to create a warm, safe environment that will facilitate growth.
